3. Governance
Responsibility for personal data sits with the relevant business owner. Legal requirements are coordinated by Compliance, and technical safeguards are implemented by the security function. Material new processing undergoes privacy review.
4. Privacy by Design
New systems, vendors, onboarding forms, monitoring tools and marketing technologies collect only necessary data and apply appropriate access, retention and security settings by default.
5. Access Control
Personal data is accessible only to personnel with a legitimate business need. Privileged access is restricted and logged.
6. Vendors
Processors and material service providers are subject to due diligence and appropriate contractual data-protection obligations.
7. Retention and Disposal
Retention schedules reconcile financial-services recordkeeping with data minimisation. Secure disposal is required when information is no longer needed.
8. Rights Requests and Breaches
Rights requests and potential breaches are escalated promptly to designated personnel and documented.
