Sanctions Compliance Policy
1. Purpose
Montrock maintains sanctions controls to avoid providing funds, economic resources or services in breach of applicable sanctions and restrictive measures.
2. Screening Scope
The Company may screen clients, UBOs, directors, authorised persons, payers, beneficiaries, counterparties and relevant transaction data against applicable sanctions and watchlists, including United Nations, Mauritius and other lists relevant to the Company’s business, banking and cross-border obligations.
3. Geographic Restrictions
A country may be blocked, restricted or subject to EDD based on sanctions, regulatory restrictions, correspondent-banking requirements or Company risk appetite.
4. Potential Matches
Screening alerts are not treated as confirmed matches automatically. Compliance reviews identifiers and available information before determining appropriate action.
5. Asset/Transaction Restrictions
Where required, the Company may reject, block, freeze, suspend or refrain from processing an instruction and may make notifications to competent authorities.
6. No Evasion
The Company will not knowingly structure or route payments through intermediaries or alternative entities to circumvent applicable sanctions.
7. Ongoing Screening
Relationships are re-screened periodically and following list updates or trigger events.
